Tea Party Congresswoman Nan Hayworth voted twice to end Medicare—forcing seniors to pay $6,400 more in out-of-pocket costs to bankroll massive new tax breaks for millionaires like herself.  That’s just wrong.  Sean will stand up for Hudson Valley seniors and protect Medicare while asking the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share.

Sean has a plan to put Americans back to work and grow the economy by restoring our manufacturing industry, ending tax breaks for corporations that ship jobs overseas, and lowering taxes for companies that keep jobs here.

In the White House, Sean was a senior member of President Clinton’s team that created millions of jobs.  Then, Sean helped build a start-up software company from scratch, turning it into a profitable multi-million dollar business that created good-paying New York jobs.

Sean is a strong supporter of a woman's right to choose and will fight Tea Party attempts to turn back the clock on women's health.  Unlike Congresswoman Hayworth, he supports funding for Planned Parenthood and access to contraception.

Sean wants to make sure college is affordable for middle class families so that all students have the education and skills to get a good-paying job. That's why he will fight to stop student loan interest rates from going up and to make permanent the tuition tax credit for families paying for college.

Our nation’s men and women in uniform have sacrificed so much to ensure our freedoms and our way of life, but rather than honor their service and take care of them when they come home Congresswoman Nan Hayworth puts the Tea Party ahead of veterans’ needs.

Sean was part of the team in President Bill Clinton's White House that ran a budget surplus, helped grow the economy and created millions of jobs - and he would take that same approach to budget priorities in Congress.  Instead of balancing the budget on the backs of seniors - as Congresswoman Hayworth proposes - Sean believes we should stop giving massive tax cuts to millionaires, oil companies, and corporations that ship jobs overseas.
